Field Trips Are More Than Time Away From School

As my title states, field trips are more than time away from school. They are an euphoria after spending time, so much time at school slaving away over work. Now don't get me wrong, sometimes school is fun and engaging but sometimes you'd rather shave a strange old man's dank leg than get out of bed and go to school. Field trips are a necessity, like water. Water is liquid for the human body (obviously), and field trips are... food for the brain. They give you hands on experience with topics you're learning, are though-provoking and help learning experience, and plain fun.

Who doesn't want to go to a museum and touch electricity, or go to camp and hang out with your friends while doing various activities that don't include pencils and paper. If our school took away field trips I'd probably scream internally and then externally. I would become a mock bull. Steam coming out of my ears, my face will flush red, and I would kick things. I would then quite respectfully ask the people responsible to get a brain check, and then I would leave. (But, knowing me I would send a apology letter.) I quite honestly don't need that negativity in my life. I need people who care about students' well being enough to allow field trips.

School is great and I wouldn't trade anything for it. Maybe because my future depends on it but field trips are a necessity to a child's soul and sanity.

Lights, Camera, Action (Review Time)

Guardians of the Galaxy

Here, from the furthest edge of the galaxy, comes the weirdest proposition yet: a superhero gang that includes a talking tree and a wise-cracking raccoon. They're determined to save the world even if they have to rip through some bad guys. Sounds like a typical action movie. Don't get me wrong it is, but there is more to it.

The main character whose name is Peter Quill goes by the alias of Starlord and was abducted from his parents as his mother was dying from cancer by some people who aren't necessarily human. Quill had found himself in possession of a mysterious orb that certain ruthlessly villainous parties would like to have, and this compels him to team up with a ragtag crew of space adventurers whose story takes place in surroundings made to look like classic sci-fi book. There is a huge creature in the shape of a tree called Groot, the enormous musclebound, oddly coloured hombre Drax, a female alien with the off-putting name of Gamora, and Rocket, a cunning little talking raccoon. The witty satire of the cast will make you wan to keep watching to the end and I suggest you go see it if you haven't yet. 9/10

No PANTS, new HAIR, and HALF awards?

Let's take a moment to talk about the Grammy's. The most simplified explanation you could get is that the Grammy's is basically a bunch of Hollywood Elites, gathering together to drink champagne and honor themselves in an awards show. On the other hand, their music is okay depending on who you are talking about. First, our attention goes to Adele. Her voice is amazing, period. You would have to be deaf to refute this statement. Yes, she started over on her tribute to George Micheal but her voice made up for it. Another thing, she gave half of her award to Beyonce. I couldn't even comprehend this act of humility. She made me appreciate her more, honestly. She just showed a lot of love for Queen Bey and rumor has it* Bey cried.

Now let's gather our bearings for long enough to talk about Twenty One Pilots. First words that come to mind are Stressed out, their most popular, overplayed song right? Wrong. First words that should come to mind after the Grammy's is NO PANTS. If you didn't watch the Grammy's, let me fill you in. The people that make up Twenty One Pilots, Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun, tweeted that they would accept their award from the Grammy's in their UNDERWEAR. Why you ask? Well they had an explanation, a weird one but at least one that is true. They said that they vowed that they would accept their Grammy Award in their underwear, because before they were musicians they would watch the Grammy's in their underwear. Weird right? Well, they stuck with their promise and it actually happened....... Let me show you.

Like I said...

One more thing. I know, I know this is a long post...just stick with me for like 2 more lines. But, did you see Katy Perry's hair? That color looks great on her, and we would know. She's colored her hair every color in the spectrum. The only thing she hasn't done with her hair was shave it off, which she said she was saving for a mental breakdown, which by the way I think is going to happen soon. The way she keeps changing her hair is a sign, don't you think? Anyways that's all I got. And if you want to know more about the Grammy's you should look on YouTube, right after this post. You obviously have a phone and a brain. So shoo.

*see what I did there.

Hey Trump.... I've got some advice.

As we all know Donald J Trump is the president of the United States. And I've got some advice.

Dear Donald J Trump, President of the United States,

I would like to first congratulate you on your win. I think that you had won over the average American worker by promising radical changes. Now it's time to put your money where your mouth is. I would like to see how you make America great again. Now people on the left* are very opposed to your ideas. Acknowledge them but don't stoop down to their level.  They will try their hardest to make you give in. Don't. Do what you can to make America the land of dreams for the middle class. I also advise keeping your allies close. Don't push them away but use them to give you advice, back you up, and even tell you when something isn't right. That being said, keep your enemies closer. Try to create better relations with the countries that have a deep burning hatred for us and our ways.
I hope that you have great plans for the future. If you can find a way to not raise people's ires and have them protest everything you do, please do it. They are blocking traffic. They are so desperate and so mad about your win that they would protest if you said your favorite drink was Pepsi, not Sprite. I also have a saying that you should keep in mind. "You don't lock your doors because you hate the people outside, you lock your doors because you love the people inside." -Tomi Lahren. Make America Great Again!

*People on the left being those who are violently protesting. Not the average Democrat.

I wish

Everyone loves getting gifts. But, not everyone knows what they want. Trust me I never do. Except for now or else this blog post wouldn't exist. If there was a genie that would manipulate someone's mind to give me a gift of my choosing, I would set out on a quest for that genie stopping only to eat food and sleep. But sadly there isn't. *tear But, really what this blog post is about is what gift I would like to receive so.... The gift that I would like to receive is *drumroll a room makeover. Wow, that sounds really girly. No but seriously.
My room is on the smaller side and I want it to look amazing. The color scheme would be monochrome and gold, with little decorations here in there in teal. The walls would probably be white and the floors a black wood sort of thing. I would also get new furniture in black or white and a new bed because I really need the extra storage. *cough *cough. But I would definitely not do this on my own or with my parents. I would hire an interior designer. I mean who doesn't want there room to look like it just stepped out a magazine. With  the room I had imagined in my head, Kim Kardashian would be jealous, and she has a walk-in closet the size of my living room. I just want a room that I myself will feel fabulous in. Even though I already am. *slow clap. Sorry that was very self-centered.

Tell me what you guys would get for Christmas if you could have anything. *granted you have a genie.

Why Name, Why?

My first name is Alexandra which is a Greek baby name meaning the defender of men. But why did my parents chose it? There are 2 specific reasons for my name. 1. My grandfather who passed away before I was born was named Alexander and I take it that he was well liked among the family. 2. My mom likes this butterfly named the Queen Alexandra so she had something to contribute to the choosing of my name. Cool and tragic. But if I would be given the opportunity to chose my name I would chose the name Myra. Why Myra you say? It's unique. How many people do you know have the name Myra. Maybe no one. And the name Myra is related to the Latin and Slavic words for "wonder", "peace" and "wonderful." So basically me. (Not to be so self centered but it's true.) But then again I like my name and am happy that my parents didn't name me after a food item (like bacon) or a celebrity that ended up going looney. So be thankful of the name you were given.

This is the Queen Alexandra butterfly, the largest in the world.

Future Career?

If I was forced to pick a job in the school district, kindergarten through 12th grade, I would most likely be a math teacher for grade 7. I would be a math teacher because, according to a personality test I have a math-wired brain. (Okay, that sounds really wierd but bear with me) In the test it said that I think logically and do well in a standard math classroom. I would also pick seventh graders because I feel like 7th graders would be easier to talk to. It also said that I can communicate well with other people so I would be able to explain to the concept to the 7th graders without confusing them. (Well, I probably will confuse them at some point bur at least they would understand something.) And according to other teachers and parents, the teenage years are hard (and I will be experiencing those soon so YAY!)  and they (teenagers) don't listen very well so I would rather teach preteens. But I probably won't be a teacher so...
